Gweithdy Serameg Balchder / Pride Ceramics workshop
Join artist Ross Andrews in this two-day workshop introducing the technique of ceramic slab building. This hands-on session will guide participants through the process of crafting contemporary cylindrical vessels, adorned with their own geometric textures, focusing on the exploration of form and pattern.
In addition to the workshop, Ross will have an exhibition at Galeri opening in April, with a large-scale ceramic installation titledCURTAINSthat delves into the themes of queer aesthetics and camp. As a queer artist, Ross engages with queer theory and the ongoing debate when defining camp. The pieces made in this workshop will be displayed alongside Ross’s exhibition throughout June, celebrating Pride Month.
Two-day course, April 14th& 15th. These workshops are for people aged 16-25.
No experience necessary, all materials and equipment will be provided. Limited spaces available.
