Open Call for Exhibition Proposals!
Galeri Caernarfon are inviting artists to send us your proposals for our various exhibition spaces. We want submitters to be as creative as possible with your responses and welcome a range of art forms and materials. This could include but is not limited to painting, drawing, ceramics, textiles, sculpture, photography, film, illustration, or installation.
Work selected will be included in our 2024-2026 exhibition programme. Proposals will be chosen via a selection panel including two invited judges (TBC) Naomi Saunders Galeri’s Creative Director and Ffion Evans Galeri’s Art Coordinator.
You are welcome to apply for one exhibition space in particular or multiple spaces. Please state which space your proposal is intended for in your application. We welcome work previously created or proposals for new work. We particularly welcome applications from local artists and those from underrepresented groups.
If selected, you will be given a full introduction to the space and further guidance by the Art Coordinator Ffion Evans.
Please send the following in an email to Ffion.evans@galericaernarfon.com
- The name/s of the exhibition space you are applying for.
- A statement outlining your creative proposal for the space. Please include a timeline of when work would be ready to exhibit (Max 1 A4 side)
- Supportive materials of up to 4 images (TIFF/JPG) or 2 audio/video files via wetransfer/youtube/vimeo
- CV with contact details and links to your website / social media accounts
- **If applying for multiple spaces please clearly state this in your proposal.
Deadline for applications APRIL 15 11:59pm
We will aim to provide applicants with an answer by the end of May.

Ar Y Ffram
This open call invites artists to showcase large-scale installation artwork on our prominent exhibition space Ar Y Ffrâm, situated in the centre of Galeri. Please see PDF for images of the space below.
Includes Artist Fee: £250
Installation cannot exceed 5 metres in height and 2 metres wide, however this can be discussed further. Cannot exceed 30Kg in weight.
Y Wal
This open call invites artists to showcase their artworks on the walls throughout the central walkway of Galeri. Please see PDF for images of the space below.
Oriel Caffi
This open call invites artists to showcase their artwork throughout our busy café gallery. Please see PDF for images of the space below.
Cei Llechi
This open call invites artists to showcase their artwork in our Art Boxes situated throughout Cei Llechi. Please see PDF for images of the space below.
