Cwrs Cerameg / Ceramics Course

Ceramics Course-Introduction to Clay (Handbuilding for Beginners)
Duration: 4 Weeks, every Wednesday throughout, November 6-8pm.
Course Fee: £95

This 4-week introductory course is perfect for beginners looking to explore the fundamentals of handbuilding with clay. Through guided sessions with ceramicist Emily Hughes, you will learn essential techniques like pinching, coiling, and slab building, and gain hands-on experience glazing your own ceramic pieces.

Course Outline:

• Week 1: Introduction to hand building techniques and the ceramic process. Create textured surface test tiles and experimental pieces.
• Week 2: Expand on hand building techniques and learn about firing clay.
• Week 3: Finish your pieces and explore glazing techniques.
• Week 4: Review glaze firing results and glaze your final pieces.

All work will be fired and available for collection soon after the course.

This course takes place every Wednesday from 6-8pm throughout November. Please note that booking is for the full 4-week course, and individual sessions cannot be booked separately.
