Argraffu colagraff a Tetra Pak / Collagraph and Tetra Pak printing

Printmaking with found objects with printmaker Dr Veronica Calarco.

Join Australian printmaker Veronica Calarco for a one-day collagraph and tetra pack workshop at Galeri, Caernafon.

We will explore using objects found around the home to make plates for intaglio printmaking. In the morning participants will learn how to create two plates - a tetra pack plate and a collagraph plate and prepare them for printing. In the afternoon participants will print their plates and create mini edition. Veronica Calarco has a BA in printmaking specialising in mixed media printmaking and a PG in Textiles specialising in weaving and screen printing on cloth from Australia National University and a PhD, specialising in lithography and mixed media printmaking from Aberystwyth University: she has integrated these processes to her visual and socially engaged arts practice. Her practice is language, land and the ecologies that surround her. She is a director of Aberystwyth Printmakers and the founder of the artist in residence, Stiwdio Maelor, Corris.

All materials for making of the plates and ink are provided. You will need to bring:
·Sketches, photographs, any visual materials you might want to work from
·Paper will be supplied but if you would like to bring other printmaking paper for experimentation please do
·Tetra Packs and any mount board you might have laying around

Workshop length: 10am - 3pm
