The house lights will remain on (low level) with the volume turned down slightly throughout the duration of the film, and audience members are free to move as they wish.
Doris Day is the star of this film. Calamity Jane goes to Deadwood, Dakota – which is full of men, and not many women. Jane promises to bring back a star from Chicago, to sing in front of everyone. In a mix up, Jane brings back the wrong woman from Chicago! Both Jane and Katie become friends, and fall for men in the town. Crossed wires complicate their lives.
